Quote Status Reason

Hello Everyone:

Question: Is there away to change the Status Reason "In Process" to "Engineer" and when Quote is Active the Status stays with "Engineer"

I know I can add values to the look-up field, but how do I keep the value to stay?

Any help or advice would be great

    Damon,

    Yes, you can just add in the new item in the Active status for status reason.

    But, as I know Active Quote is you cannot edit it through UI.

    It is kept locked as Read Only, right.

    Well, this status you need only after the Quote is Active?

    Hm...tough one since its limitation.

    I think you need to create another entity 1:N from Quote to keep track the Engineer status from custom entity.

    I mean I can suggest you to in behind update it to Draft then Change its status reason to Engineer programmatically behind code, but too troublesome also and if you enable auditing, you will see a lot of changes, Draft to Active then Active to Revise, from default Active status reason to Engineer, and then back to Active again.

    Active quote is cannot be modified unless you revise it first

    And changing the status back to draft is possible but not supported behaviour
