How to setup Parent and Child record associations inside same entity

Hi everyone,

So I have two account forms:

- account organization: a form for the organization 

- account site: a form for all of the organization's sites/branches 

I need to setup a block/section in the account - organization form that displays all the sites under the organization. For that I would need to setup a relation between organization and site.

How can I setup this kind of relationship that for each unique organization, I can see the related sites?

Also what kind of block do I need to insert in form to show the sites (subgrids?)?

    Hi,

    You can setup 1:N relationship between organizatin and site, and can put site subgrid on organization form to show list of the site associated with this organization.

    Would I setup a 1:N relationship between the org and site forms? or some field?

    Because at the moment I only have one field "account name" which is used across both forms.

    Also if I used two fields (one for org and one for site) then in the account views, I wouldn't be able to list all the accounts properly...

    you will use 1:N relationship, which will add a lookup field in site (it will be primary field only, so account name).
