Hi there,

I would like to deploy the new Dynamics 365 outlook light-weight app for users on a MAC. But I am not able to see the D365 button in Outlook.

To be honest, i'm not a Apple whizzkid, so perhaps this question is a easy one.

Tech details:

Dynamics 365 Online

Outlook for MAC

Exchange Online

Server Side Sync enabled.

Done the following step:

 Add the app to Outlook

After the prerequisites have been met, you can add the app directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  1. Click the Settings button  , and then click Apps for Dynamics 365.

  2. On the Apps for Dynamics 365 page, under Dynamics 365 App for Outlook, click Dynamics 365 App for Outlook.

Thanks in advance.

Do you see it in Outlook on the web?  Check there first.  If it's not there, the app itself isn't configured correctly.

I'm not familiair with a Mac, but maybe the button is somewhere under the Addin section?

And what version of Exchange and Outlook for Mac are you using?

    Hello Martijn,

I'm not sure where to find this section. We make use of Exchange Online(so the latest version) and Outlook 2016.

    Hi Diederik,

As said, I'm not familiair with Outlook on the Mac. But it should support this new lightweight app. Does this sceenshot help in any way, as these are the same type of addins as the lightweight app.

    Hi Diederik

You have to retry activate the Eligible Users affected. it's easy.

Inside Dynamics, go to Settings - Dynamics 365 App for Outlook,

in the 3rd Paragraph there will be the Settings, besides says Edit, click Edit, and make sure it has checkmark in " Automatically add the app to Outlook" then click Save.

at the bottom you will the list of all the Dynamics users: All Eligible Users,  select the contact that has that issue and the top of that square it will appear a setting that says ADD APP FOR ELIGIBLE USER, click is and it will reset the eligible user, and it will take 15 minutes to Re appear the Dynamic Button in the Outlook Mac.

i did it and works less than 15 min.

    Good luck.
