Database Engine Tuning Advisor(DTA) in LCS Blocking Tree and impacting Prod env performance badly

Our F&O Prod env has been extremely slow today in certain business processes.
In the LCS -> /Get Current Blocking Statements/, I see the root parent spid is related to /Database Engine Tuning Advisor/.  It is trying to drop some index in core tables like salesTable, InventDim, PriceDiscTable.
 
It doesn't seem normal to run an automated /Database Engine Tuning Advisor/ during business hours such that it slows down the environment.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Any insights would be helpful.
 
I have opened SEV-A ticket and waiting for the response.

    MS Support could not find the exact root cause of the issue and our issue resolved itself.
    But they confirmed that DTA actions is not the root cause.
    Looks like DTA reindex statements gets low priority.
