How to update local VHD and get correct updates with LCS connector?

I have the latest VHD (10.0.29) and I want to download and apply the latest updates (following this), but acquiring the correct update package is what I'm not understanding.

In LCS, the various environments will show a list of available updates for that specific environment. This makes me think I need to install the LCS component on the VHD, which I have completed. Otherwise, I must download updates that are relevant to an Azure deployed instance but not my VHD?

After installing it and uploading the certificate, it fails to connect/collect, but I've worked around it by fixing the LCSDiagFXService.exe.config file as pictured:

Now the LCS tile shows up after running the data collector:

When I click on the tile though, it is unable to provide me information about the environment and the available updates specific to the environment:

Are these environments unable to be updates without having an Azure deployed environment to first download those updates?

Hi Wymk,

For a local development VHD, there is no option to see and manage the environment in LCS. In the link you provided, there is also a section called "Apply a platform update to environments that are not connected to LCS". You must follow the steps described in this section to install and apply updates.
