Alternative end date on Production/Batch Order

Hi,

In Dynamics, for any given batch order, an ‘End Date’ is applied. This ‘End Date’ represents the nominal date by which the batch should be QA-approved if it starts on the nominated day. However, there are instances where this ‘End Date’ needs to be adjusted. For example, when testing difficulties arise and the expected QA-approval date is delayed. Consider batch 240539, which currently targets an ‘End Date’ of 20-Oct-24. However, intelligence suggests that it should only be available by 11-Nov-24. Is there a way to update this revised date in Dynamics? Although I can see the ‘End Date’ field within the Batch Order, it appears to be ‘greyed out.

Thanks
KD

    Hi KD,

Please let me know your current version of D365FO?

In case, your End Date was being setup to appears as greyed out in All production orders form. Then there is a way you can update your revised date for End date in the Batch order as bellows:

    1. You should update the Delivery date of Batch order according to your new producing plan. e.g I change my schedule from 12/14/2016 to 10/30/2014. Noted that this is only applying to Batch orders with status Started and before started.

    2. Run the Schedule operations in order to update with new delivery schedule.

After running completion, you will see a new End date will be updated based on the scheduled delivery date ran.
