Econnect Adapter Integration Manager General Journal and Analytical Accounting

Hello All,

So after scouring the internet, I am about to throw in the towel.  I am trying to do a simple GL import with one AA dimension into GP 2010 using the eConnect Adapters.  After dealing with all of the workarounds for journal number, my transactions are finally importing.

HOWEVER, my transaction dimension codes are not flowing through to the Alphanumeric section in the AA entry window.  I have all of my Record Sources set correctly, and I have even tried using Constants as this is a 2 line entry to test.  If anyone has any suggestions whatsoever to get these dimension codes in via import, please share!

Thank You,

MByrne

    Hi Michael,

Under Destination Mappings (Entries), ensure that Sequence Line is mapped to a source file, and not set to Default. The Sequence Line is what uniquely identifies each AA record, especially in a single journal.

Just to ask, how did you 'work around' the journal number  in your integration.

    Regards,

    Peter Muchira.

    Dear Peter,

    What is "Sequence Line" means?

is it a manual input sequence or what?

my whole integration is stopped bcoz of this issue.

    Hi Ahmed,

The SequenceLine is what uniquely identifies each AA record. Often, GP uses multiples of 16384 for the SequenceLine i.e. 16384,32768, 16384*3,16384*4 etc.

I'd therefore suggest that in your files, you 'compute' your own SequenceLine numbers, but preferably consistent with the pattern above.

    Regards,

    Peter Muchira

I did everything, the integration was successful, but without the AA codes.

I would like to send you the MDB file, and the source file to check , maybe there is something wrong with my work.
