Has anyone ever had Payroll Deduction Transactions NOT add up to the Payroll Summary Table?

This is our 5th year with SL and for some reason this year, I've run into about 4 employees whose PRTRAN totals were not recorded correctly in the payroll summary EARNDED table.  Any suggestions on how to best fix?  Or what could cause this to happen?  It is a mystery to me.  I'm tempted to do an insert SQL statement to add these to the summary table, but would rather not if there was something I was missing.  Thanks.

Carolyn:  Thanks for your reply.  We are on SL 7, FP1.  There were no manual checks for these employees.  The ENTIRE RECORD was missing for the deductions in question.  I did "SQL surgery" and added records into summary table so we could move on with what we needed to do.  We are good for now, I think.  Thanks.

    Hello:

If you are on a version prior to 6.0, we did have an old bug which resulted in the wrong Calyr being recorded on an employee record.  It mostly happened when initializing prior year history.

Also, we know of an issue where the Employee.ytdearn are reduced by the amount of Employee paid deductions entered in a Manual Check. You could run the following select statement:

select ytdearn from employee where empid = 'xxxx'

    Note the value.

The Employee.ytdearn is increased by the earnings less the deduction amount.  Deduction amounts from a manual check should not reduce the Employee.ytdearn earnings amount.

So if the field you are referring to is the calytdearn value, then manual checks are likely the issue.

Let us know what you find.
