    Hi Ivan,

In general, in your DevBox, you need to open Visual studio, look for the form, right click on it and click create extension. ln the form extension, look for the fields you are interested in, to add them in the grid, then drag and drop them their and that's it.

If your questions is answered, then please verify the answers that helped

I see.  Then how do I create an extension to a form? Please share programming languages, tools, all details needed, and how would you go about it if you had no knowledge on this and wanted to acquire it quickly for this purpose and trying to avoid the need to interact with unresponsive and unknowledgeable Microsoft implementation partner.

Also, how do you add the fields you want after creating the extension? Please share steps.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ivan,

This is for creating new fields in this table and not existing fields.
If you read the article i sent you, this is how name is filled
I don't think this is what you are looking for, so it's either you add from the list of fields you saw when you clicked Insert columns, or you do a customization by creating an extension to this form and add the fields you want

    Thanks,

These are the tables available when creating a new column:
    Inventory dimensions, and Category.

But within those tables how do I know the names of the ones I'm looking to add? Item Number, Item Barcode, Item Name, Item Description, Location, Packing List Date, Qty in Packing List, Delivery Name, Shipping Tracking Number, Sales Order Number, etc.

    Hi,
You can extend the functionality of a form by extending its controls and data sources.

    Hi Ivan,

    1. You can right click on the grid and click insert columns, you'll see a list of fields you can add from

    2. If the fields you see don't suit your requirement, there is a button called "create new field" above the list of fields that you see.
Check this link to understand more

    3. If 1 and 2 doesn't work with you then you'll need to do development to add the fields needed.

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan

    Hi,
You can customize the user experience, and there's an official documentation here: Personalize the user experience - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn. You can use the Add fields tool to add fields to your page. If that doesn't meet your needs, you may have to use a custom development method to extract data from other tables and display it on this page. You may also be able to check to see if there is a standard report that meets your requirements.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
