Unable to create Order from active Quote in Dynamics 365

I am facing an error while creating an Order from Active Quote. and also it happing only on some of the quotes records not on all.

I have done many searches and RnD related to this but I am unable to find any solution.

Below is the error, which I am getting.

Please help me to resolve this error.

Looks like everyone who updated to the latest version of D365 are facing this issue. Microsoft released another bug which affects the standard functionality.

Hope they release a hot fix soon.

Try this out, because mine got fixed when I did this method on its own.

Create a Workflow that changes the status of the quote as Won and Creates a New Sales Order from the data from Quote. Run this WF on demand on any of the quote record.

Later Create a new Quote and follow the std process. Quote > Create Order. This should work. It worked for me. Let me know.

Any updates on the "Active stage is not on Quote entity" error? Did you get a MS fix or are you using the workaround?

For the time being you can use the workaround using the following solution

If you hit Revise Quote to create a copy of the original, you can then create your order as normal from that one. This is what we are doing. Only downside is you get a revision number of 1, but if you're not using it in any templates or similar then there's no problem.

Microsoft Support just walked me through the fix:

Settings>Administration>System Settings>Use legacy form rendering select "No"

Note that before the fix, the only way around this issue for me was to use Microsoft Edge Browser.

This issue was seen in Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Microsoft Edge browser seemed to be fine.

Hopefully this fix will “stick”.

If you still have an issue, clear your cache and restart CRM. Hope it helps!

If i make legacy form rendering YES then i am unable to see the create order form. If i make it NO, then it is not allowing me to revise or close the quote. It is throwing error.
