How do I turn the Business Process Flow into a percentage value?

One of our customers has a request where they have many stages in several different custom entities. They would like to assign a numerical value for percentage of stage complete for all the entities that have the BPF. How can I achieve this?

    Could you just enter the percentage in the stage name field in the business process?

    Hi,

    This can be achieved by creating workflow for the custom entity.

    in workflow you can check for the stage, and update record for the probability field.

    Like in Opportunity there are X,Y,Z stages.

    Create workflow and check stages.

    IF STAGE=X, Update Record PROBABILITY=60

    IF STAGE=Y, Update Record PROBABILITY=80

    IF STAGE=Z, Update Record PROBABILITY=100

    Above you can use customize field too rather than using probability field.

    Jason, they want the percentage of the process complete visible in Views so they can sort by percentage. For instance in the Lead entity view they would like to see the percentage of the process complete so they can sort top-to-bottom. Which takes me on to my second point; I would like some client side scripting so that I can reuse it in other entities instead of using multiple entities.
