Rapid Implementation Tools 11.0 requires eConnect

I cannot install the RIT 11.0. It fails, stating that it requires eConnect once I click next from the installation options screen. However, I cannot figure out how to download eConnect. So I'm completely stuck. This is on an SBS-08 server. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

I found the installation of eConnect in the GP setup.exe program. Being new to this entire process, I did not realize these utilities were all part of the GP setup. I installed eConnect and this resolved my issue. The frustration was that there is nothing I found online that explains the fact that eConnect is part of the setup. I just found it by accident.

I had the same problem. There is still nothing written in the RapidStart documentation about needing eConnect until it fails. I had the same problem trying to install the GP 2013 version.

The Rapid Implementation Tools guide for 2010 states :

[... eConnect for Microsoft Dynamics GP eConnect for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 is required if you are using Rapid Implementation Tools for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. ]

Well it would be nice if they listed it in the list of required software in the manual. Also, RapidStart would not let me continue with the installation until eConnect was installed - sounds like it's required not optional in the new version. After installing eConnect I went back to install RapidStart again and it says that eConnect is not installed.

I throw up my hands.

I guess you made sure to have the proper eConnect version and SP for GP 2013... other then that, I don't see what could be wrong..

When I did install the Rapid Migration Tools for 2010, It made me aware that I needed to install eConnect, which I did and then the rest of the setup was straightforward.

It requires you to install the add-ons for Excel, and that's why I did install it on a Test Bed system.. it doesn't really matter, since once you run the RM import function, you specify to which SQL instance the tool needs to connect to upload to a company database... So I can test it forehand and when everything looks fine, just repeat the import to my live production DB's, no need to re-install the whole eConnect and tool on another server.
