Error in AIF folder permission

Hi All,

I am working on one file system adapter in AX 2012. I have created two folders "In" and "Out". As soon as I have run the batch process, I got the below error message. And my file is not processed.

"File C:\MyAIF\In\Cust207.XML cannot be read because the submitting user could not be determined. The default owner for files created by members of the Administrators group must be set to a specific windows user or a default file owner should be enabled and specified in port configuration."

I tried to do -
1. In the details pane, double-click System Objects: Default owner for objects created by members of the administrator's group, and then change the owner from Administrator's group to Object creator.
2. Change the owner of an inbound folder. but in my Windows server 2012 I done have that option.

I am logged in as "Admin" into my system and in Dynamics AX as well.

In inbound port I have also added "Admin" as user in adapter configuration.

Can anyone please explain me How can I solve this ?

    Hi Ievgen,

As I am able to read customers from AX using file system adapters. I also need to update the same customer.

In my current scenario, I have used CustCustomerService.Read operation in my Inbound port and able to read successfully. I am getting the output file in AIF/Out folder with all information of customer.

Now for update, I have created a new inbound port for updating the customer and added CustCustomerservice.Update to update the customer. I'll use the same schema which I got from AIF/out folder above and will change some field's values.

Could you please suggest if this approach is right or not ?

Should I create a new thread for this ?

    Hi Mukti,

    New thread would be great.

You approach looks ok for me. To do an update you need to read customer first and get document hash value, without it you won't be able to update the customer, so you are on a right track. Please read this technet article for details technet.microsoft.com/.../cc598792.aspx
