Simple Flexible Billings Invoice

Posted on by 1,035

Is it possible to create a new report that can be used by the Invoice Print routine?

I dived in and created one but I got database errors. I assume that there are hooks in the standard reports e.g. BI.010 that do not get created automatically

For normal reports I would agree, but the Flexible Billings Invoice report is such a beast!

It would be nice if someone from support could write a paper like the one for Dynamics SL Report Writing that just covers Project Reports especially Invoices

It is usually easiest to copy the existing report and modify it.  Are you familiar with the subdirectory \usr_rpts?  You can copy the original report, set it in \usr_rpts and SL will pull the report from there.  If there is a problem with the modified report you can re-name or delete the one in \usr_rpts and SL will go back to the module's subdirectory and use the original.
