    RE: Error in Closing Inventory

    Hi Nouman Saeed,
I have faced this issue couple of times before and it happens as you have previous recalculation exist and you are trying to recalculate again.

As I can see in your screenshot, you have previous recalculation on date 26/03/17 and you are trying to recalculate again on 31/03/17 hence this standard AX warning.

Normally in standard, when you have recalculation exist and you are trying to recalculate again, system prompt you to cancel the previous recalculation. If you agreed to cancel then system runs the recalculation again and cancel the previous one. If not then system will not run the recalculation again.

But in your case, I think your previous recalculation is not cancelled properly.

Delete the recalculation line for 31/03/17 and then try cancelling the recalculation for 26/03/17. Hopefully you will be able to cancel the recalculation for 26/03/17.

If still you are not able to cancel, It is best to involve technical to debug to know the exact cause before turning to Microsoft.

    Hi Nouman Saeed,

Before you try to correct something from the AX client side that makes things possibly worse I would suggest that you get a a developer and ideally the MS support involved here. If the whole process is stuck there is anyway nothing you can do without their help. Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Nouman Saeed,

Has your last calculation been paused?

What can you identify if you select the calculation button?

Can you resume the last calculation?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Nouman Saeed,

The message you receive is actually just a warning triggered by the InventCostClosing-checkPostingOK method. Based on that, please double check the executed, start and trans dates of your recalculation and try to cancel the previous one as it seems to be responsible for this message.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
