SL 2015 CU1 Release Now from Invoice and Memo / Release AR Batches (08.010.00)/(08.400.00)

I'm seeing an error from Release AR Batches (08.400.00) when attempting to release batches from the AR Invoice and Memo screen.  The batches that throw the error can subsequently be successfully released from the Release AR Batches process when opened from the menu.  Also, if we initially set Handling to Release Later, batches successfully release from Release AR Batches.  The issue exists with Payment Application batches as well.

This does not occur when releasing AR batches from the demo database built on the same server.  The database in which the problem occurs was upgraded from SL 2011to SL 2015 CU1. 

The error particulars are:

    The problem persisted without regards to the SL user releasing the batch from Invoice and Memo or whether the Invoice and Memo customizations were present or removed.  Your response did cause me to think about all screens/processes involved.  Release AR Batches (08.400.00) also had a customization on it.  Since this screen/process behaved properly on its own I had focused all my attention on 08.010.00.  Once I removed the customization from 08.400.00 batches release find from 08.010.00.  Thanks for making me re-think my approach.

    My suggestion is to release the Invoice & memo batch as a sysadmin user and see it works. If yes, this could be the access rights issue to the user for the Release AR batches screen. Another thought is to check if the batch release process from the Invoice & Memo screen works in the standard mode.

    We need to investigate in detail if it still fails.
