Dynamics CRM 2013 - Windows Updates Known Issues

Hi, I currently have a deployment of Dynamics CRM 2013 build number 6.1.2.0112 on multiple Microsoft Server 2012 R2 servers.  I'm due to patch these servers via WSUS shortly; is anybody aware of any updates past or present that may have an adverse effect on CRM 2013?

    Hi,

I have problems with SP1 UR3 for CRM Outlook Client with Outlook 2010 on Citrix XenApp 6.5.

Outlook Client is running and after a few minutes it crashes.

    Error message:

    >Unhandled Exception in the AppDomain System.AggregateException: A Task's exception(s) were not observed either by Waiting on the Task or accessing its Exception property. As a result, the unobserved exception was rethrown by the finalizer thread. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    Another effect:

Column headers in subgrids are not displayed correctly in IE 10 and 11. The size of the column headers is not measured correctly.

Hi Vijay thank you for responding.  I essentially want to patch the Windows Servers that host the CRM installation.  I need to know if there are any known updates that have an adverse effect on the version and build number of CRM that I am using.

    Hi,

We have a site with exactly the same issue on CRM 2013 SP1 rollup 3 where Outlook keeps crashing due to the add-in. Could Microsoft provide an update on this as it very much sounds like a bug?

    hi

Try to update .net Framework with the last version 4.5.

We are having the same problem as CSW with rollup3 for SP1 (on Windows 7, but also in Outlook 2010).  We have a support ticket open with Microsoft, but so far no resolution.  Any other ideas?  Outlook crashes randomly.  Sometimes gives an unhandled exception error, sometimes just closes right away.  We're tried disabling all other outlook plugins aside from the CRM one, but it's still crashing.

    Hi,

Same error here for some users on one of our customers. They all work local, no terminal services.

They all migrated from CRM 2011 to 2013. New clients without prior CRM 2011 client do not face the issue.
