Hi guys.

I am new on GP.I been in ms dynamics nav almost for 10 years but for me it is first time to dealing with GP.

I try to add custom field on "RM_Customer_Maintenance" form on the way it is described in some earlier post (link)

https://community.dynamics.com/gp/f/32/t/106975,and after that creating *.cnk file like it is described on this site (link)  www.tek-tips.com/faqs.cfm.

Probably  I am not doing this right because when I start GP on "Customer Maintenance" form  new field does not show.I have no idea any more so I take a screen shoots of my whole action adding new field in hopes that somebody help me to resolve this.

1). First I added new field trough Dexterity.

2).  Than "Compile All"

3). Then in Dex. Utilities open source.dic file ,in my case DynamicsTest.dic

4).Then extract to Extract.dic like on the pic. below.

8). Open editable dictionary in my case Extract.dic

9). Then from resources choose "Series resources" menu.

10). Then "Update".

11). Then "Create product info".

12). Then "Auto-Chunk".

16.jpg

13). Then create *.cnk file (in my case named Dyn.cnk).

18.jpg

14). Starting GP (after copy *.cnk file in GP folder).

15). But "RM_Customer_Maintenance" form does not reflecting any changes.

16).I also change "Alternate/Modified forms and reports" like on the pic below.

I have three more questions.

Does this modification take any changes to previous modification because I am not first one who is doing some modification on this database.

Can I extend "customer web service" with this additional field.

Any suggestion for some good book for starting with GP.

Many Thanks.
