AX warning : Product tax categories must be assigned to Purchase and Sales

Hi Experts,

When i create product ( item or service), AX gives a warning message saying " Product TAX categories must assigned to purchase and sales

If you have experienced this before, please share your thoughts..

    Hi VK,

    For which country have you setup your taxes? Do you have some tax modifications implemented? I'm familiar with item sales tax group settings for items. Are your tax categories something similar in your country environment?

    Hi Ludwig,

    Taxes setup is straight forward for AUS. I have setup ST codes, ST groups and Item ST groups. No modifications. Do you know where is the tax category setup?

    Hi VK,

    I have not come across this issue but from what I searched it looks as if this is a country-specific functionality.

    See for example: ax.help.dynamics.com/.../mx-00006-set-up-sales-tax-code

    Can you check whether the config-key for companies operating in Mexico is active in your environment?

    Do you have companies operating in this country?

    Can you check the following hotfix and whether it resolves your issue:

    KB 3080180"Product tax categories must be assigned to purchases and sales" error when trying to create a new released product

    Have you solve the error?  I have the company with Mexico, but still assigning the tax Category report in the section Mexican tax reports, continuous with the warning in the creation of products, can you support me?

    you have to enter the Item sales tax group in both fast tab ( purchase and sales )

    Product Information management >> released products >> edit

    purchase fast tab >> taxation >> item sales tax group

    Sell fast tab >> taxation >> item sales tax group
