Requisition Worksheet ( 'Vendor No.' and 'Supply From' Lookup table)

Posted on by 23
Good Afternoon,

I am experiencing a behavior with the requisition worksheet where if I try to select a vendor from the Vendor No. field, the lookup table opens the Item Vendor Catalog page instead of the vendor list. In my below example there is no applicable item variant for the specified item. Any assistance is appreciated.

    This is standard functionality, in both Req. and Planning Worksheets.  Think of the Item Vendor Catalog as your list of Approved Vendors for a specific Item.  The lookup goes here to help avoid Users from selecting a Vendor that either doesn't supply that Item or isn't approved by purchasing.  If you know your Vendor No., the system allows you to type any Vendor Number on the Req. Worksheet Line.

    As Zhu pointed out, this can be customized to pull the Vendor List rather than the Item Vendor Catalog.

    Hi, I tested it briefly, it's the same as yours., this is a standard behavior.
    The following is the standard code:
    table 246 "Requisition Line":
    You can force the vendor page to open with a little customization.
    LookupThroughItemVendorCatalog := not ItemVend.IsEmpty() or PreferItemVendorCatalog;

    PS: This content is maintained on the following pages.
    Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.
