Code Table functionality available in other modules?

I have an application where it would be handy to have the ability to choose a code on a PO or SL line and have it link to a record in a table that contains multiple columns, similar to the fields in a Code Table record. I'd like to accomplish this using configuration manager, and not custom programming if at all possible. Is there a method to make the code table values available for selection in the user defined fields within modules other than Project & Contract?

    Thank you. I'll crack open the manual and get syntax for all this. Appreciate your help.

    You would need to add the user field to the screen.  Then you would want to create a PV (record and proc) for the source table where the values are to be stored.  Then set the PV property of the user field object to the PV record.  You can then reuse the same PV on other screens.  In your custom table make sure you add the timestamp column at the end.  You will also want to make sure you know how you will be maintaining the source table whether it be a custom screen or direct SQL access.

    Sorry, yes I meant Customization Manager. I'd really like to keep my implementation vanilla if possible.

    I am not sure which module you mean when you say configuration manager. Do you mean Customization Manager? If so, it can be done but AFAIK, it will require some custom programming.
