Dynamics 365 Portal Webform Steps - Prepopulate Lookup from step before

I have a Portal for our D365 CE. Portal User can manage there own company and contacts. Additional we have a custom "Contact-Role"-Entity to mange Many-to-Many Relationship between Contacts and Account (we need this because the OOB-N:N soultion is not enough for our requirement).

In our Portal we have a Webform starting in Step 1 with creatin a new contact (after step 1 the new contact is created).

In Step 2 the user should assign role to account with our custom N:N Entity:

Prepopulate the Organisation are working with "Metadata". But i cant prepopulate the Contact (Person) just created in Step 1 before. Is there a way fo fill "Person" with the just created Contact?

Hi partner,

You could try this way.

Go to web forms and set the source type as "Result From Previous Step".

And go to Entity Reference enable the populate lookup field.

Hi

Entity Reference worked, but prepopulate the lookup field not working. After saving the lookup field is correct filled with the created contact in Step 1. But why prepopulate is not working (i have checked the option and cleared the portal cache)? Bug maybe?
