"A Team Members application module may not be customized with more than 15 custom entities available to the Team Members license"

Does anyone have any insights on the Team  Members license for customer engagement?

Reading through the license guide, in previous incarnations, it seemed to imply that there was going the be a "Team Member Experience App"; what I assume by this is there is potentially going to be a dedicated team member app where you will eventually setup which custom entities users can edit so that they fall under the 15 custom entity limit. At the moment the team member license is trust based, which I assume will be enforced by the platform in the near future.

However, newer versions of the licensing guide mention "A Team Members application module may not be customized with more than 15 custom entities available to the Team Members license*". This I could read as the "Team Member application module" being the Sales, or Customer Service modules.

Basically just wonder if people have any insights on the team members licensing level:

  • Will dedicated team member apps be coming with platform enforcement
  • Team members will use the Sales, Service, etc modules with platform enforcement
  • Things are going to remain the same on a trust based method.

Thanks,

Steve

    Hi CeoxSteve;

    I seem to recall the enforcement of the Team Members license is on the roadmap to be delivered to the platform, just not sure when.

    As for "A Team Members application module may not be customized with more than 15 custom entities available to the Team Members license"

    • I read this as being if you created a custom Model Driven application that has a users accessing it with a Team Members license assigned to them, the Application cannot have more than 15 custom entities (user created) in it.

    Hope this helps. Licensing never seems straight forward.

    I don't even think you can do it with custom apps as the license guide states "The Team Members subscription does not provide access to custom applications and is not intended for scenarios beyond those listed in Appendix B". Not that I can see any detailed scenarios in Appendix B!

    Agreed; the licensing seems to change so much each year its almost a full-time job keeping on top of it!
