I need to add a 2D barcode (ie PDF417 or DataMatrix) to the bottom of several Dynamics GP 2016 Report Writer SOP sales order documents (Packing Slip, Invoice, Picking Ticket, etc). The 2D barcode would include 3-4 different data elements from the sales documents so with one scan, the data elements can be read. Has anyone found a solution to be able to make this 2D barcode a reality with Dynamics GP and Report Writer?
Other versions of Dynamics (AX, Nav, RMS) all seem to have a solution for 2D barcodes.
I saw a great article by David Musgrave, on Dynamics GP 1D barcode with VBA code (Using Barcodes from the Dynamics GP Report Writer, Nov 23, 2010) but I have not found any solution for adding a 2D barcode. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

For "modern" sophisticated barcodes like 2D, printing labels with them using a Zebra like printer and sticking them onto the paperwork sounds like a good plan to me! Report writer is not a good platform for this.
You could look at using word templates, perhaps this might open up possibilities, or convert the reports to reporting services reports and buy the relevant 2D barcode component plug in for RS to run in the reports.
