How to have a D365 SaaS tenant with more than 2 months

Hi,

I work in a D365 BC partner.

Is there any option to have a free D365 environment with a trial period larger than 2 months?

We need to be able to create a new company (CRONUS is not an option) and UK localisation.

As far as i know, each new environment only has 30 days and can be extended more 30 days.

cdx.transform can be used but does not allow to have a UK localisation.

Any ideas?

Hello,

At some point, the tenant will be converted into a paid subscription.

Even if your cdx transform tenant has country different from UK, you should be able to create additional Business Central environments in different countries from Business Central Admin Center.

The answer is very simple: you can not...

You can create a BC trial and extend it once yourself, so you can use it for 30 + 30 days. Then, according to documentation, you can extend it for another 30 days, by a partner, but every partner that I have contacted simply does not know how to do that and the documentation is also unclear on the process.

So, currently 60 days is the limit.

As an alternative you could use a docker image or an on-prem install...

To determine when a trial environment will expire:

Sign into the Power Platform admin center with admin credentials.

Go to Environments > [select a trial environment] > See all. Check out Day(s) remain.

Trial days remaining

Create a trial environment with Dynamics 365 apps
Currently, Dynamics 365 apps such as Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Customer Service can only be enabled in production environments. To create a trial with Dynamics 365 apps, see Start your digital transformation here.

Create a trial environment without Dynamics 365 apps
You can create a trial environment in the Power Platform admin center without Dynamics 365 apps such as Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Customer Service. See Create and manage environments in the Power Platform admin center and select Trial as the environment type.

Convert a trial environment to production
While using the trial environment, if you created resources you want to retain longer than 30 days, convert the trial to a production environment.

If you have 1GB of available database capacity, you can convert a trial environment to production. You might need to free up or purchase additional capacity if the trial database exceeds 1GB. To determine the size of the trial database see: Common Data Service storage capacity.

Follow these steps to convert a trial environment to a production environment:

Sign in to the Power Platform admin center with admin credentials.

Go to Environments > [select a trial environment] > Convert to production.

Select Convert to production

Select Continue.

It might take several hours to convert to a production environment.
