I am trying to import some data from an old system. There is a Notes field that is cluttered with newlines (CHAR(13) and CHAR(10)). In Excel I was able to strip these and drop something else in its stead (just an arbitrary string like "^^^^"), just to get the data in.
I'd either like to get the importer to recognize the newlines, or figure out a way after the fact to replace the ^^^^ with newlines by export/reimport. Otherwise the legacy notes field will be unreadable.
In the past I have been able to do this using SSIS but I do not have a license to that package in this environment.
CRM 2016 online.
