    Thanks for all the responses.

Nikolaos was correct - en-gb was set for the one user, so it's called "Stock management"

Apologies, lesson learnt to check user preferences

Security diagnostics is a good tool

also could use security confirmation and see roles and their access in details there

    RE: Inventory management

    Hi Mike,

Which exact menu options within the inventory module should be visible? Using the security framework you don't assign a menu, but menu items. If a user has one or more menu items assigned belonging to a menu, then the menu should be visible.

Some roles mentioned above do have access to menu items in this role. Like Nikoloas, I would also like to know if you have customizations.

You can check which roles has access to menu items by using the the Seurity diagnostics on each individual form. It will then tell you which role, duty, privilege has been linked to the menu item belonging to the form.

PS: The waterspider role is a role used for lean manufacturing, Nikolaos ;-)

What if you add all roles, except System administrator, to that user? What modules does the user see?

Do you have some customizations in this system?

What is "Waterspider" role? What if you remove that role from the user?

    RE: Inventory management

Yeah, if I give the user the System Admin role they can see the Inventory management module

Navigation pane > Modules > Inventory management

I've looked at all other supplied roles, but don't see any other role for Inventory, or Stock

    RE: Inventory management

Inventory accountant and Inventory accountant clerk should definetely see that module.

Are you saying that if you assign System administrator role to that user, do they still see Inventory management module?

What language does that user have? Perhaps the module is not called "Inventory management" in that language.

For example in en-gb it's called "Stock management". And of course in non-English languages it's something else :)

Perhaps it's not a language thing but just wanted to suggest checking it because sometimes it can cause confusion.
