When trying to merge 2 accounts I'm receiving a message "Invalid Argument"
I don't see anything more descriptive in either the CRM or SQL Sever event logs.
Any thoughts?

You could try with dynamics crm tracing but I don't know if you will get more detailed info
I looked at account "JKL" the only difference I saw was 2 phone numbers used periods instead of dashes. I changed the periods to dashes and tried to merge again and got the same error.
If it could be a data anomaly in a contact or historical item it would be impossible to analyze these as there are far too many of each.
Is there nowhere that a more detailed error would be logged? What about in the SQL logs of the SQL server. I only reviewed the Event Logs of the server of the SQL server.
And do you notice anything strange in the account fields?
Invalid Argument exception: The exception that is raised when a parameter that is not valid is passed to a method on the referenced connection to the server.
This means that you are passing information to that it can't process for some reason.
I would go through the fields and see if there is anything strange going on.
No I've successfully merged other accounts.
This particular issue is account ABC was able to merge account DEF and GHI into it, however when I try to merge JKL into it is when I receive that error.
Is that only with those two account of with any two accounts?
