Printing a report for a date range

Hi

How can I print a report for a date range

for example if I want to print sales tax collected report from 01/04/2017 to 30/04/2017

how can I write that in the field (date is) to represent the date range

Also, I find the report filtering syntax not easy to work with, is there like a link or a document that shows all options that can be used?

Thanks

Ola

    Hello Ola,

Thank you for your question about entering date ranges on a report.

To enter a date range you could use the Date Filter and then type in the two dates with two dots/periods between them, for example, here's what the date filter would look like if I wanted to print the Sales Tax Collected for the month of April:

04/01/17..04/30/17  (notice the 2 dots between the dates, this would print data between these dates)

Here's some additional examples, notice the dots/periods:

04/01/17                     (Only those posted on this date)

..04/01/17                   (Transactions posted on or before)

04/01/17..                   (Transactions posted on or after)

04/01/17|04/18/17     (Only those on either of these specific days)

..12/14/17|12/30/17..   (Entries posted on 12/14/17 or earlier, or entries posted on 12/30/17 or later - all entries except those posted on dates between and including 12/15/17 and 12/29/17.

Hope this helps!  Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Regards,

I have used two fields for Starting Date and Ending Date using SETRANGE function. But, in my case records below or beyond the specified date range are also getting displayed. Can you please provide a fix to this ?

    Thanks in advance ! :-)
