Good day,

I am encountering an issue when posting a journal with an opening balance after migrating from NAV to BC. Specifically, I receive the following error message:

"The lines in 09/01/25 are out of balance by 1,204. Check that Posting Date and Amount are correct for each line."

All lines have the appropriate balance accounts, with no currencies involved, just the default currency set as Euro in the General Ledger setup.

I have verified the posting dates and filtered the data by the 09/01/25, which is when the error occurs. When I attempt to preview the posting, I receive a different out-of-balance error:

"The lines in 09/01/25 are out of balance by 134,376.53. Check that Posting Date and Amount are correct for each line."

I am unsure what is causing this discrepancy. How can I go about identifying the root cause of this issue?

Hello,

You should not preview post with filtered data because the system will only post the visible entries.

This is why you are seeing a different error.

You can try using Test Report to look for the potential cause.

Hi

If both lines go together and between the two they create an accounting entry, they should have the same document number.
