Where to locate WIP Calculations?

Hello,

I'm trying to create a WIP report by employee. Can anyone direct me on where to locate the calculations or maybe a similar form? AX comes with a WIP report, however its not returning data and it does not make sense to me where its getting the data from.

    Hello SSRSGuy, Can you provide some additional details on the report you try to generate? Do you want to analyze project related WIP data for your employees, production WIP data for the production workers or something else? Ludwig

    Yes, it would be project related data for the employees. I was given the following code to use, and that is about it:

    select *

    from GeneralJournalSubledgerVoucher gjsv

    where (gjsv.LEDGERACCOUNT = '135000' or gjsv.LEDGERACCOUNT = '135100' or gjsv.LEDGERACCOUNT = '135200')

    Hi SSRSGuy, I believe the ledger accounts that you mention are your WIP accounts. In my opinion you still need to clarify some things with the one who asked you to create the report, such as whether those WIP accounts are used only for tracking hour transactions or whether are also other transaction types (Project expenses, item consumption, etc.) are recorded on those accounts? I assume that you are only interested in the hour transactions posted on the WIP accounts. Maybe have a look at the following form/list page: "Project Management and Accounting / common / Transactions / posted project Transactions". This list page gives you a good overview on the Transactions recorded and the worker for the hour transactions. If you select "view voucher" you can identify the ledger accounts used. The queries / datasources used for those forms/list pages might be a good starting point for you. Hope it helps, Ludwig
