Batch reservations when picking up with mobile devices

Hi guys,

I'm facing an issue with my setup, and I'm not sure on how to figure it out. It is a quite simple scenario.

Same item with different batches in one location and LP. This is my starting point:

The batch numbers are sorted by expiration date, all of them have different expiration dates.

The SO is for 60 ea (6 boxes).

When doing the second pick, a message appears related to the batch Z95, but the Z95 doesn't have availability at this point. It seems that It takes no account of the previous picking. Why that quantity has not been reserved?

Regarding my setup:

  • Batch below (4. location, 5. LP, 6. Batch number)
  • FEFO batch reservation in location directives
  • FEFO date-controlled in Item model groups
  • Tracking dimension groups: active marked, primary stocking marked, physical inventory marked, the rest of checkboxes are blank.

Is there another setup related to this scenario?

    Hi Miguel,

    I tried the same and was able to pick without any issue.

    Do you have inventory for batch Z95 in some other location also?

    Do you have inventory for the same batch Z95 in some other inventory unit at same location?

    Hi Miguel,

    Also I have one doubt that why you are picking in unit boxes and putting in unit pallets.

    Any specific business need for this?

    I suspect as you are picking 6 boxes and putting 5 pallets it could be the unit conversion making system still believe that the inventory for batch Z95 is still remaining while picking Z96.

    I think if you pick 6 boxes and put 6 boxes you should not get this error.

    Hi Miguel ,

    You can disable the warning in the menu item related with picking by

    setting "Pick oldest batch" as "None" or "Warn".
