Creating workflows in Dynamics GP 2013

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

We are a small company. We are using Dynamics GP 2013 with 5 users. Currently we don't have any workflow activated. We want to activate all workflows offered by Dynamics GP 2013 like Purchase requisition approval, purchase order approval, sales Quotation approval etc. As per my knowledge Workflows can be activated in 3 ways.

1. Approval Authority will login to Dynamics GP to approve the documents.

2. An Approval request will be sent to the approval authority to his email and he will approve accordingly. For this he doesn't need to login to Dynamics GP. Microsoft outlook will be used for this purpose.

3. A website will be created on share point and the approval authority will visit his page where he can approve all pending approval requests.

We cannot purchase extra users and want to use best user friendly and economic solution for approvals. Our users who will approve don't want to use Dynamics GP for approval. They are comfortable with using outlook and approving from there.

You people are requested to guide us on this.

Best Regards

Rashid Anwar
