WF send email - edit context text & images

Hello,

I have a process or workflow that when someone does something it sends an email out through the CRM.

To make edits to the context of the email - I can go to this workflow / process, deactivate it and make edit to its context. I am able to edit the text either delete, change or add it, but to the image I can only delete it. I can’t replace it with another.

I think there should be an easy way to edit or replace the image context. Please advise !

I have the same question (0)

    Hi partner,

I was able to successfully add images to the email body of the workflow.

Copy the image directly on the web page and paste it into the body of the email of the workflow.

Do I need to upload the image to web resources and copy from there ?

    Hi partner,

Yes. We can only copy pictures from web resources. Local pictures cannot be pasted directly into the D365 email body.

Pasting an image in the body of the email is actually pasting the URL of the image in the web resource.

The local image has no URL, so it cannot be pasted into the body of the email.

It's not just emails in the workflow, it's the same with sending emails normally in D365.

So I uploaded the image to web resources and published it. I then go to the workflow to send email properties- I open the image in web resources and copied the link into a browser. I paste it into the email properties.

It looks good. However when an action is caused the email is sent but the image does appear only show a square. Please advise why the image didn’t appear.

    Hi Johnseito,

    Do you mean this situation?

    pastedimage1575340521779v1.png

This is actually due to a problem with Outlook.

    Please refer to this blog:

Yes that is what it looks like. Before I make the change, the previous image email was fine when the email was sent.

I am looking into your link now and see what the reason is.

I look at your link, went to trust center and follow the steps. It didn’t help.

I don’t think is this reason because previous email image before I made the change showed correctly.

    Hi Johnseito,

In my environment, the same email cannot display image in Outlook desktop, it can display image normally in Outlook online.

So please try to open your email in Outlook online, if the image can be displayed normally, then it is the reason for the setting of Outook desktop.

If it is indeed due to the Outlook desktop, please try the following links.
