Excel is taking so long (+8 secons) to Open from X++

Hi Guys,

I have been working with excel files lately from X++,

just to read around 20 fields from the AX  and write the to Excel. no to complicated

but I notice that is not slow by reading/writing data into excel. but just by opening the file (even if the file is new and created from x++)

It is quite annoying that I have to wait almost 10 seconds from the moment a click the menuItem button until the excel is opened.

Or just by a simple job it takes the same time:

    hi Ludwig,

    thanks for replying.

    the problem is not the amount of data itself. The problem is the amount of time it takes since the action is triggered until the Excel application is open (the workbook opens)

    the code that I uploaded is just a job that instanciates the excel app and opens the file. from the moment the job is triggered to the workbook opens takes around 6 to 10 seconds... it is quite annoying if you look at the default "Export to Microsoft Excel" button

    Probably you want to take an AX trace to check time spent in which part.
