Printing in Dot Matrix Printer Epson LX300 + II Problem...

Hi all,

I would like to ask a few things, first of all I will be using dot matrix printer for my sales invoices and the printer type is Epson LX300 + II. I encountered several problems, the main problems are the size of the paper, the last one is about the page orientation. I would like to ask, are we able to adjust the size of the paper on our NAV ? or should we adjust the size when we are creating our custom layout on Word Document? My sales invoice paper size is about 8 x 5.5 inches long. Last thing is about the page orientation; when I was doing my trial it seems that the orientation of my printout is on portrait. Are we able to change them to landscape ? Waiting for the best answer.. Thanks !

Karl J

I would think you could adjust the paper size and the paper orientation at the time of printing via the printer properties. If you use landscape though I think you will be seeing a lot of the header portion of the report on every page and the the lines section will carry over to several pages.

    Hi Karldjaw,

If you want to change the layout and and Property of your report to best fit the Paper and Printer then See my attachment..(GOTO the Layout and adjust accordingly)...

But if you just want to stick with the printer setup then,

    Hello Karldjaw,

Open your Report Layout in Visual studio and then click in report designer body or any control,

After that Click on REPORT menu and then Click Report Properties...

Now you can setup your layout as you want. See the bellow screenshot for better.

And if your report is in SQL report builder then just right click in report builder designer and select report properties... and make report setup as you want see the bellow screenshot.

Both are settings same, for your more clarification i added both.

As other members replied, there are different options.

You can adjust the layout of the report itself, by resizing it or orient according to your needs. For that, you would need to design each report separately.

You can as well play with the printing options of the printer itself, depending in the printer driver capabilities. The printer you are using has option to orient the paper for printing as well as select different paper sizes. I would rather start with this option, as once done it would fit to all the system reports, and you would not need to modify each needed report separately.

    Hi, Karldjaw

Already you have Got the Answer for Paper Size and the How to Set the Orientation on the Design,

We are printing Most of the PO, DN, SI, PR Documents with Dot Matrix Printer we are not facing any issue when it comes to Paper Design if you use Continues Paper then you need to select the Paper Size to "Letter" as other members Suggested and you need to pay attentions to the Header, Footer, Left & Right(I always put right Margin to 0) Margin on Report Property and in the report Design you have see any footer Section if you have added something on that section of your report.

if you focus on these things and what other members are suggested you get the result what you need.

    Thanks

    Indika
