Hi,

is it possible to change the tracking dimension group for item after product is released and in use

We were originally told you couldn't but found that it will let you actually but you have to clear out the tracking dimension in products v2 first and then you can change the tracking dimension on released products. In the UI, you have to do it under Dimension groups under the Product tab for both. We were able to do it in mass with a data import by first setting the tracking dimension to an empty string in Products V2 and then changing it to the new tracking dimension in Released Products V2. We were changing between very similiar tracking dimension groups though (both batch tracked) but not sure if it matters.

while trying the second step from the given article im getting the below error

it doesnt allow to update Tracking dimension group

while trying the second steps im getting the below message -this message occurs at the time of updating the Tracking grp

The new dimension group cannot be assigned. Other financial dimensions apply, while 'Activate closing of non-financial transfers' is set to Yes, and inventory transactions
