Duplicate detection automatic merge?

Hi

Is there a way to perform an automatic merge of a set of duplicates in CRM4?

If not is there third party software that either extends or replaces CRM duplicate detection?

Or why should I be wanting to do this at all?

Also anyone know of any white papers of this subject?

    We have developed a Azure Cloud based Automatic Duplicate Detection and Automatic Merge service.  "AutoMerge" from Genbil will clean up you Dynamics CRM system quickly and accurately.

    This may very well be a requirement depending on the the number of duplicates your getting, as CRM out of the box requires you to validate your duplicates individually.

    Yes I have developed a custom Bulk Merge app for crm in the past, the main part is defining which records should be the master and automating this can be risky as there isnt always a hard and fast rule for establishing the master, but once the rules are identified then the bulk Merge process can be automated.

    a few ISV also provide this as a service/addon, but depending on your customisations such as child and related records for your bulk merge to be automated I believe would require a bespoke solution.
