Role based security in mobile app

Hello,
Can I add role based security to dynamics 365 unified operations mobile app. So that the user can only see and manipulate data according to the role assigned to them. If yes, then how?

    Hi Ayush,

    Yes you can. If the user does not have the correct permissions, the data is not shown or read only. How? Then you need to tell more if you want to restrict access on mobile features delivered out of the box or own configured workspaces.

    I have created my own mobile workspace in order to view and edit sales orders from phone in D365 unified operations app. As of now, the mobile user can view and edit all the sales orders whereas he should be only able to view and edit sales order created by him.

    Hi Ayush,

    This additional requirement is not roles based, but record based security. The eXtensible Data Security framework (XDS) supports record based security. Note that you should also consider that some users needs to manage all/more orders to prevent a lock-out of control when a user leaves the company.

    Can you share some link with me from where I can get an Idea on how to achieve this. I couldn't find anything on record based extensible Data security framework.

    for The eXtensible Data Security framework (XDS), you need to back for a developer.

    you need to develop it from visual studio many steps

    in AX 2012, record level security from AX GUI very easy, but In Dynamics 365 you need to develop XDS
