I need to test the upgrade to Dynamics 2010 as well as FRx 6.7 on the lastest SP. Dynamics was easy as you just point the ODBC to the test server. FRx, however, is the biggest pain. Before, I would simply export the spec set, then install FRx locally, then import the spec set (as to not disturb the live sysdata ifnromation).

I can no longer seem to do this. When I try and import I keep getting "an error occurred while importing your specification set" with zero details.

If it exports, why will it not import? This is such a huge pain.

There is probably something wrong with the rows, columns, catalogs or trees you are exporting. Try exporting them separately and then import the rows first, then the columns, then the catalogs and finally the trees. Once you find which group has the problem export out only certain portions until you find the offending component.
