New data entity - Natural key not found for table LedgerJournalTrans

Hi guys,

I need to create custom data entity with the source is LedgerJournalTrans. However there is an error saying "Natural key for table LedgerJournalTable was not found".

Upon looking for the same issue, found few topics discussed this and the solution is to duplicate any existing data entity then just delete its data source and field then replace it with LedgerJournalTrans.

While I've done so, how to have the staging table for my new entity then ?

I tried to "Regenerate staging table" but it seems nothing happened. Should I duplicate again the staging table from other entity first, then use Update staging table instead ? I just afraid it will gone wrong.

What is the staging name in the property

if its a standard table I dont think its possible this way, you need create extension and add fields manually.

Considering that you are creating a new entity, you can create a new staging table for it.

Hi ShaqAX,

Usually, I create a new data entity with the name as I would like to have, e.g. MyLedgerJournalTransEntity. As table, for this entity, you can initially take a simple one, like CustGroup. When you finished the wizard, the object names are correct and then you can delete the table and rebuild the data entity with the LedgerJournalTrans table. Then re-generate the staging table.

What is probably currently wrong in your attempt is that you did duplicate the entity, but not the staging table. The name of the staging table is stored in the property DataManagementStagingTable. When using the wizard, it will not only create a new staging table, but it will also create required privileges.
