System Message 6570

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I have multi-company with several inactive companies.  I have templates on reports which select specific companies of the remaining active companies available.  The user has rights to work in each of the selected companies used in the template, but still get this System Message 6570.  The KnowledgeBase article on this does not help.  Any ideas?

Potential Cause
This occurs when a user attempts to load a Report Template which has the Selected Companies option enabled in the ROI Company Selection tab and the user does not have VIEW rights for one or more of the selected Companies. See either Resolution 1 or Resolution 2.

Resolutions

Resolution 1 - Create a new Template with the Current Company option enabled under the ROI Selected Companies tab.

Resolution 2 - Set up VIEW rights for the user in all the Selected Companies for this Report Template.

    Hello

Report templates generate a System Message 6570 when a company is deactivated

    This is Bug 38966

The report still runs even with the message, so there is no fix for the issue

    Best Regards,

For each inactive and/or non-selected companies which the user has no access will also cause this message to popup. So if you have 10 companies and 4 of them the user has access to and the Company Selection tab has the "Report per Company" checked then you will have to click "OK" 6 times before you can execute the report. That is because the user does not have access to the other 6 companies, regardless of them being selected or not. This popup message occurs when loading the template. In this case Resolution 1 does fix the problem. Change the Company Selection tab so that only the "Current Company" is selected or at least un-check the "Report per Company". Then save over top the template with these Company Selection tab settings.

Sorry that this answer comes 4 years late, but when this popup occurred on me this page showed up in my searching. I'm glad you copied the text from the knowledge base since I could not find this when I did a search there. Thank you.
