I need to setup a total amount discount $25.00 without minimum purchase on POS using a coupon. In other words regardless of the total transaction amount, the customer with the coupon will be entitled to $25.00 off. I tried simple discount but that applies the discount to each line. The threshold discount has a validation on the discount amount to make sure it is always greater than the threshold discount value. I read where a user setup the threshold discount because their prices were generally lower than the discount amount. In my case, the prices vary widely.
This cannot be achieved OOB. In the similar situation, we ended up creating threshold discount with 25 tiers (ranging from 1-25). In our case, the number of products under $25 was very few and may not work for all.
