We want to a bulk update of the Industry field for accounts already existing in Online CRM 2013.....what are the necessary steps to do this process?

If you get the records you want to update into an Advanced Find you can either update them from the results by selecting records and using the Edit function (which acts as a bulk edit) or you can Export the to Excel(using the option to re-import), make the updates there and then re-import from the Data Management area.
