Hi

I have really big issue with the portal cashing

One of our requirement in the portal is to add some extra buttons to do actions like adding comments to Case, do some request, etc.

I follow this https://uds.systems/blog/2017/03/20/how-to-run-custom-code-in-dynamics-365-portal/ and create an action that will be triggered on doing Query on custom entity, so far so good and the actions being called, the logic is executed correctly, the problem is Cash, the portal is not aware what is happening in the action, lets say the customer add comment, the comment will be in CRM and every thing is good but the customer want to be able to see it immediately, he need to wait some time till he is able to see it and i have from these Scenario more and more and all the times the updates in the Portal not happening immediately

So any one face the same issue, any one was able to solve it

    Hi Abdul,

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any solution for this.

When you make changes in the CRM that the portal is not aware of (including using the technique described in the blog post you referenced), you are relying on the CRM to push an event to Azure Event Hub, and then for that event to get passed to the portal.  Many times this occurs in a few seconds, but sometimes it takes longer.

For development purposes, you can always clear the cache manually.  To do this, log into the site as an administrator, and go to:

    yourportal.microsoftcrmportals.com/.../about

You'll then get the "Clear Cache" button.

I suppose you could come up with some code that triggers that button programmatically, but I would strongly suggest you do not do that, as site performance would be terrible.

If anyone else out there has figured out how to do it properly, I'd love to hear about it.

    Nick

Yes, Clearing the cash frequently will cause the system to die, I don’t like this waiting without knowing if they will fix it or what especially in the portal roadmap nothing is mentioned there
