Financial Statements i n Ax 2009?

I need to create profit and loss structure in the Balance sheet report (financial statements). I just created by following steps. 

General Ledger--->Setup---> Financial statements--->Row definition

for Balance sheet row definition--->structure designer--->i created profit and loss structure and i attached profit and loss row definition (which is already created) .

problem is when i am running balance report am getting the profit and loss vale is like 12345.

and when i am running profit and loss report am getting another value like 56789 but the client wants the value 56789 in the balance sheet report.

Any suggestions, How to achieve the above scenario?

    HI Sai,

    Please be more clear and specific in your question. What is 12345 and what is 56789? I can't understand your setup and the problem with the current description.

    The issue is related to Financial statements (Balance Sheet Report) in ax 2009.

    in balance sheet report i need to attach Profit and loss row definition  for that

    GL------->setup---->Financial statements--->Row definition in that i opened Balance sheet row definition--> structure designer--->in that i created profit and loss structure and i attached profit and loss row definition (which is already created) to this structure.

    when am trying to run the report of balance sheet, the profit and loss shows an amount of $45,0000 in the report.

    when am trying to run the report of profit and loss, the amount is $23,000 (which is correct).

    In balance sheet report the amount is wrong, client wants to get profit and loss amount $ 23,000 in the balance sheet report. How to map the correct amount.

    Hi Sai,

    Thanks. I do now understand that it is related to the amount that is being displayed. This should be related to setup. It is very hard without knowing the contents of several settings and the posted transactions what is wrong here. So any suggestion could help or not.

    Have you used the same start and end dates for the periods on both reports?

    If you look at the detailed transactions in AX, is it possible to find a way to sum to both the amount $ 23,000 and $ 45,000? E.g. some opening balance transactions?

    Have you checked if the balances on the dimension sets are correctly updated?

    If you only printed a total amount, try to see which accounts do show the difference? Is there a difference per ledger account? On all accounts or some of them?

    A lot of questions, but unfortunately I'm not able to dive in your environment.
