In CRM 2013 I had couple forms with HTML Web Resources in the footer, now that we migrate to CRM 2016, aren't working, the frame for the web resource is in the form but the content is empty. Somebody knows any solution for that or how to work around it?

Iam also facing same issues when added html web resource directly in form footer dynamics 365 online, Nothing displayed. After I have use IE dev toolbar or Chrome devtools to inspect <boy> </body> tag appears empty.
If anyone got solution highly appreciate.

As a short term workaround you could enable the legacy form rendering (old form rendering engine) in the global settings until you found a solution. Then at least for the meantime your webressource in the footer should be displayed again.

Yes there seems an issue with this. I have tried to add an html web resource to footer on one of my custom entity. It shows up in create preview but does not show up when not in the preview mode.
I put exactly the same HTML Web Resource in the body of the form and looks fine
but in the footer of the form is empty:
Is there any html generated for this web resource in the DOM?
The webresource preview is fine, but is empty when i put it in the footer of the form.
Can you check your html web resource is running fine when browsed through solution? You can go to Solution -> Web Resources -> YourWebResource
if its showing contents in the browser?
