Copy Documents from Quote to Revision

Hi all,

Is there a way to copy any documents (stored in sharepoint) from a quote to a revised quote when it's created?

Some of our quotes can go through multiple revisions and having to re-upload the documents each time to the latest revision is becoming inefficient.

I have the same question (0)

Hello, in SharePoint you can make a "Move to" or a "Copy to" of a specific document. The following link explains the procedure to do it: support.microsoft.com/.../move-or-copy-files-in-sharepoint-00e2f483-4df3-46be-a861-1f5f0c1a87bc.

It is also important to keep in mind what the scope of SharePoint could be, I attach the link to the information: docs.microsoft.com/.../sharepoint-online-limits.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't want to take the user out of Dynamics into Sharepoint. It needs to be a seamless experience with no user interaction.

I guess I'm looking at using Power Automate to do this?

    Hi,

Yes, I believe you can implement your scenario using Power Automate. I managed to implement the same scenario on my environment. I will share the solution as soon as I can.

This is a summary of the steps to follow:

    • Retrieve the n-1 revision of the offer
    • Retrieve the url for each document of revision n-1
    • Create a folder with the right name on the right path for revision n
    • Copy the files from the folder of revision n-1 to the new folder created
