    Hello Ashley,

I had a look at your transaction form (customer>collect>settle open tranasctions>functions>tma Programme) and noticed an "expense dimensions" tab (=> probably wrong label?!) that includes the financial dimensions. Have you tried entering your financial dimensions there? If this does not work please try to find a workaround that does not make an adjustment to the financial dimension "hinheritance logic" of AX as this can easily cause you much trouble later on.

    All the best,

    Ludwig

Thanks Ludwig, but that will not assist because when manual rebates are being undertaken the financial dimensions will not always be the same.

Hello Ashley, the functionality for fixing the financial dimension is located in the chary of accounts. You need to open the company specific view and can then determine the financial dimension used once the account is used. Maybe that's an option for you. Yet remember that fixing the financial dimensions this way will always result in vouchers that use the same "fixed" dimensions. You cannot change them through user input except by specifying a different account that is setup with other financial dimensions. Maybe test the feature first in a test environment to see if it might help you. Cheers, Ludwig

Hi Ludwig, you are right the rebates will inherit the financial dimensions of the underlying transactions.  However this is a manual rebate, eg if you give your customer $10,000 for marketing expenses.  AX has a function through  the customer>collect>settle open tranasctions>functions>tma programme, which enables you to create a manual rebate which is independent of any underlying sales order transactions.  I cannot see anywhere in this function that provides for financial dimensions.

    Hi Ashley,

To my knowledge rebates inherit the financial dimensions of the underlying transactions (sales order ...). What comes to my mind for this issue is probably specifying a fixed financial dimension value at the ledger account that is used for posting the rebates.

Can you possibly provide some additional information on the issue? Probably then the one or other community member can suggest some other alternative options.

    All the best,

    Ludwig
