How to update "Pay group" on worker's compensation?

Hello,

Can anyone provide insight as to how to update the "Pay group" (from the "External Pay Groups" entity) on the worker's fixed compensation? The field is always empty and disabled on the form, and it does not appear on the "Create compensation" form used to add a new fixed compensation line on the worker, nor does it appear on the "Edit compensation" or "Change compensation" forms.

Thanks for any thoughts.

    Hi Francis,

Could you be more specific in what are you looking for? I mean, AX version, module and what do you want to accomplish?

    Regards,

    Pablo

    Hi.

I'm on AX 2012 r3 cu9 and trying to update the value of the compensation pay group for a specific worker. Any suggestions how to accomplish that?

    Hi Francis,

I haven't worked directly with that.  But could you add a new compensation plan and assign it to that specific worker?

    Regards,

    Pablo

    Hi Francis,

This field was removed in the new Microsoft Dynamics AX.  I am interested in understanding what your scenario was for wanting to use the field.  Please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to discuss this further.

    Hi Jerilyn,

We wanted to use this field to enter the payroll company code (used in the payroll system) on the worker's fixed compensation entry. We finally went with a small customization to make the field editable.

Thanks for your answer. I take good note of the fact that the field no longer exists in the new Dynamics AX.

    Thanks,

    Francis
